Natural teeth are unique to each individual person and have an extremely complex structure of color and shape. The industry standard shade guides for teeth come in only 16 shades. An accurate shade, custom mixed by one of experts, incorporates many different powders in order to simulate these subtle variations of nature.

The custom shade appointment at Lafayette Dental Lab allows the dental ceramist to see the patient's unique color variations in the mouth. Facial architecture and lip line can also be observed, which significantly impact the "shape" and customization of the restorations.
